Leona Wilhmenia Fahnholz, 98, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away October 31, 2023, at Linden Court in North Platte. She was born on June 25, 1925 to Herman and Mary (Weber) Schievelbein in Arapahoe, Nebraska.
Leona grew up in Arapaho and attended Emmanuel grade school. She was united in marriage to Richard Fahnholz on May 4, 1942, in Wilsonville, Nebraska. They lived on a farm until 1949. They moved to North Platte where she worked at the Pawnee Hotel for many years. Richard and Leona started the Fahnholz Septic business and continued to run the business until she was 94 years old. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening and canning. Leona loved being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a love for music, especially Christian and polka music.
Leona is survived by her son, Darrell (Kay) Fahnholz, Callaway, Nebraska; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; along with numerous other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Geraldine; son, Kenneth; 2 grandsons, Kevin Fahnholz, Jim Woodcock; 3 infant grand-daughters; 2 brothers, Henry and Norman; 2 sisters, Berdina Evans, Marilyn Schievelbein.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Reverend Daniel Ramsey officiating. Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M., Friday, November 3 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
