Linda Noreen McIntosh, age 64 of Lexington, NE passed away Monday August 25, 2014.
Linda was born on May 25, 1950 in Gothenburg, NE to Marvin LaVern and Elvira May (Daggett) McIntosh. She graduated from North Platte High school in 1968 and attended Mid Plains Community College for one year. She worked at the Tomahawk Café for many years, and moved with the business when it relocated to Hershey. She also cooked at Penny's Diner before her health forced her to retire. She was a caring and generous person with a heart of gold. She was very loving to her nieces and nephews and had an open-door policy with all her family. She was always the one they went to. She loved to play bingo and pickle cards, and was a member of the Eagles and VFW.
Linda is survived by her son Richard (Amy) McIntosh of Lincoln, NE; siblings Mary Kay Martinez of North Platte, Stephen (Diana) McIntosh of Wyoming, Frances McIntosh of North Platte, Kathryn Weigel of North Platte, Doris (Rick) Snow of Wyoming and Debra (Troy) Regas of North Platte; special friend Albert Kelly of Lexington, NE; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; nephew Travis Martinez; and brother-in-law Simon Martinez.
Memorials are suggested to the Callahan Cancer Center and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com. Cremation was chosen and services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday August 29, 2014 at the Salvation Army, with dinner immediately following the service. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday August 28, 2014 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
