Lisa Dale Sabin (A.K.A. LDK), age 52, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Lisa was born October 9, 1973, in North Platte to Bruce and Cathy (Zeigler) Kohl. There she grew up, achieving her GED and going on to attend Jospeh’s College of Beauty. After graduating with her cosmetologist license, Lisa worked hard at a variety of jobs to maintain her independence. Her passion was cleaning, but she also loved doing hair and waitressing, especially at the Green Apple. Lisa met Chuck Sabin, with whom she began to share her life, having her beloved son Jacob in 2002. After a bit of time, the two were wed in 2005, having their second cherished son Brady shortly after.

Lisa will always be remembered for her caring and loving nature. A “Certified OG North Platte Gangsta,” Lisa was always one to look out for her community and loved ones, though if they got on her bad side, they had to look out as she had a heck of a right hook! She was always social and an adopter of strays, always keeping her couch and yard open for anyone in need. She was a lover of the outdoors, often found gardening, camping, fishing, or enjoying a swim or float in the water. That said, her greatest love was her family and role as a mother and caretaker. She found purpose in raising her family and never let them leave her hungry. She kept a clean house and always knew how to make it a home her family could come back to when they needed a break from life or just to see their mom.

Those left to cherish Lisa’s memory are her sons Jacob Sabin of North Platte and Brady (Bobbi) Sabin of Gothenburg; step-son Tyler (Timari) Sabin of Gothenburg; step-daughter Brieanda Sabin of Cozad; father of all her children Charles “Chuck” Sabin of North Platte; numerous grandchildren; brothers Gale Kohl of North Platte and Shawn (Kristi) Kohl of York; dad Bruce Kohl of North Platte; significant other Todd Matthews of North Platte; beloved dog Bubba; and all of her family and friends who were lucky enough to know her.

She is preceded in death by her step-son Charlie Sabin, mom Cathy Kohl, Grandpa Everett, and Grandma Polly.

Funeral services for Lisa will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 1 p.m. at New Life Church, North Platte. Burial will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
