Lois Elaine Anway passed away at North Platte Care Center on February 27, 2024 at the age of 83.  She was born April 28, 1940 to Lester G. and Vada I. (Harvey) Anway in McPherson County near Tryon.

Lois' family moved around to various places.  She graduated grade school from District #12 in Arthur County.  Lois attended McPherson County High School and graduated May 16, 1957.  Lois and her mother worked at the café in Tryon and helped serve food at the Tryon sale barn.  She helped paint houses and Lois and her brother worked in the hay fields in the summertime.    Lois helped her Grandpa Harvey with his business, sold Tupperware and Beeline clothes.  She worked at the Pawnee Retirement Hotel as kitchen manager until she retired.  Lois enjoyed watching Nebraska Cornhusker football and volleyball and also enjoyed playing Bingo.  She collected stuffed Dalmatians.

Lois is survived by brother, Leslie (Beverly) Anway of North Platte; numerous other family members and friends.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 A.M., Monday, March 4, 2024 at Miller Cemetery near Tryon with Michael Montgomery officiating.  Visitation will be held noon-4:00 P.M., Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
