Louis "Lou" Jay Goold, 70, of Wellfleet, NE died, September 29, 2020 at his home.  Lou was born on January 12, 1950 in Ogallala, NE to Jay and Marie (Stone) Goold.

He grew up in Brule and graduated from Brule High School in 1968 and University of Nebraska at Lincoln, with a Biology degree in 1972. Lou married Vicki Seickman on February 10, 1973. To this union 3 children were born; Jamie, Jennifer and Aaron. Their family lived in Ogallala where he was a mechanic for Nebraska Public Power. He married Becky Andresen on July 24, 1988 and the couple lived north of Hershey for several years until they moved north of Wellfleet. Lou retired in 2013. He had a love for Harley Davidson Motorcycles and was renowned for mechanical abilities with Pan Head Engines. He made many trips to Sturgis. Lou loved the outdoors, taking his family camping often. He had many friends and will be remembered as very loyal and treated them like family. He was a very honest person, sometimes to his fault and loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his 3 children, Jamie Fitzpatrick, Sutherland, NE, Jennifer (Eric) Gonzalez, Grant, NE, Aaron Goold, Ogallala, NE; 5 grandchildren, Teagan Morris Fitzpatrick, Eric John Gonzalez Jr, Ethan Mark Gonzalez, Adriana Gonzalez, and Alejandra Gonzalez; 2 sisters, Carol (Milton) Talcott, Lincoln, NE, Shirley Eastwood, Brule, NE; soul mate, Becky Goold, North Platte; 2 step-sons, Josh Vath, North Platte, Nathaniel Andresen, North Platte; step grandson, Shya Guadtis, Curtis, NE; numerous other family members and many friends.

Lou was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gerald and James.

Visitation will be Friday, October 2, 2020, noon to 7:00 P.M. at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. (Mountain Time), Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Brule Cemetery in Brule, NE with Rev. Jon M. Dickmander, St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church officiating.  Following the service, a reception will be held at the Longhorn Bar in Sutherland, NE.  Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
