Marilyn Maxine Ehmen, 86, of North Platte, passed away September 15, 2022 at North Platte Care Center. She was born on April 26, 1936 to William and Sophia (Parde) Ehmen in Lewiston, NE.
Marilyn grew up in Burchard, NE. She married William Corter in 1972 and to this union a daughter Amy was born. Marilyn worked as a caregiver, taxi cab driver in Beatrice, bartender, and homemaker. She loved to fish and camp. Marilyn liked visiting with people, was very generous and took people in as her own. She took in a young lady named Charlotte who stayed with her for many years and became family. Many people called Marilyn "Mom".
Survivors include her daughter, Amy Corter of North Platte; grandchildren, Tena Jefferson of North Platte, Lindsay Sharp, North Platte, Cynthia Flower, John Rother, Shirley Torres and Torres family, North Platte; great grandchildren, Averie Jefferson, Elijiah Jefferson, Maverick Biere, Amara Jones,; daughter- in-law, Josie LIntz, North Platte; siblings, John (Mary) Ehmen of Topeka, KS, Verna May Richardson of Pawnee City, NE, numerous other family members and many friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, William and Sophia; husband, Paul Lintz; siblings, Erma and Don; step-son, Paul Lintz, Jr; grandson, Rusty Rother; step-daughter, Karen Creevan-Weeks.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Riverview Cemetery near Sutherland with Pastor Jeremy Rinke officiating. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
