Mark Alan Swedberg, age 69, of Hershey, died August 7, 2026 at Great Plains Health. He was born on September 10, 1956 in North Platte to Herman and Marie (Bloomberg) Swedberg.

Mark graduated with the class of 1975 from Sutherland High School. He then went on to Mid Plains Community College where he earned an associate degree in electronics. He then worked a variety of jobs through his life, the Power Plant in Sutherland, a company that installed grain bins, and most recently the Hershey Flying Service.

Mark enjoyed traveling, especially his Alaska and New York trips. He was known to play a mean harmonica, even getting pulled onstage to play with different bands. His hobbies include country music, hunting and fishing in his younger years, and growing a big garden. He will be remembered for living his simple life and always took enjoyment at the moment at hand.

Survivors include his siblings, Dennis Swedberg of Omaha, Marilyn Crawford of Georgia, Marcia (Gregory) Bland of North Platte, Brent (Natalya) Swedberg of Sutherland, and Janice Wichita of Tuscon, AZ; nieces and nephews, Sarah (Kirk) Wayman, Andrea (Adam) Ryan, Angela Hipp, Jeff (Beth) Kittle, Rob (Danielle) Kittle, Emily Swedberg, Ellen (Jake) Davis, Eric Land, Jed (Amy) Crawford, Douglas Bland, Ryan Bland, Michael Bland, Christina (Adrian) Martinez, Shauna (Bryan) White, and Jessica (Josh) Larson; and numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kent. A memorial has been established and online condolences can be made at www.adamsswanson.com.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday August14, 2026 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Rev. Patrick Sipes officiating. Those wishing to sign the register book can do that Thursday from 12-5 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
