IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marvin Lee
"Marv" Huddle
January 30, 1946 – March 6, 2025
Marvin "Marv" Lee Huddle, age 79, passed away at Linden Court on March 6, 2025. Marv was born the second son to Clifford "Bus" and Ruth (Johnson) Huddle on January 30, 1946, in Alliance, NE.
Marv was raised in Mullen, NE, where he graduated high school in 1964. In December of 1965, he was drafted with the United States Army as an
aviation mechanic, stationed in Korea, during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged in 1971, Marv attended Mid Plains Community College, receiving an associate degree, and then Chadron State College, receiving a bachelor's in education. With this degree, he taught history at the high school in Rushville. Marv also spent some time working as a barber and as a lineman for Consolidated Telephone Company.
In August of 1979, Marv married Janice Martin and took on a father role to her daughter, Jodi. The couple later separated, and Marv moved to North Platte, where he lived until his passing. In North Platte, Marv worked for the Red Cross for 10 years until his retirement in 2015.
Marv was a man of few words with a dry sense of humor; he was quiet and calculated but had great love for his grandkids, great grandkids, and his grand dogs. He loved to go for walks outdoors but was most comfortable in the comfort of his home.
Survivors include his daughter, Jodi (Gary) Smith; grandchildren, Kalan (Scott) Rayburn; favorite grand, Blaise (Shelby) Crowell, and Zaquery
Thompson; great grandsons, Kaisen, Brexlyn, Liam, and Berkley; brother, Burton Huddle.
Marv was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford "Bus" and Ruth.
