Mary Kay "Big Mac" Martinez, 67, of North Platte passed away March 11, 2019 at her home.

She was born on June 6, 1951 in Gothenburg to Marvin Lavern and Elvira May (Daggett) McIntosh.

Mary grew up in North Platte and Gothenburg. She worked at PJ's in Cozad, the Hub Bar, and was a cook at Penny's Diner in North Platte. She married Simon L. Martinez in North Platte who preceded her in death on September 9, 2003.

Mary was an excellent cook, mother, wife, grandmother, and sister. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Simon Jr. (Chelsey) Martinez, Melissa Martinez, Stephanie (Francisco) FaJardo all of North Platte, and Donna Lundsford of Lincoln; grandchildren, Franko, Ryder, Seferino, Jacobi, ArMonti, Cyles, Francisco Jr., and Johny; a brother, Steve (Diana) McIntosh of Wyoming; sisters, Frances McIntosh and Debra both of North Platte; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Simon; son, Travis; and sisters, Linda, Katherine, and Doris.

Cremation was chosen, private family services will be held at a later date. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
