Mary Jane Serrano, 69, of North Platte, passed away November 18, 2021 at Linden Court.  She was born on July 22, 1952 to Arnulfo and Socorro "Cora" (Saldivar) Sanchez in North Platte.

Mary was raised in North Platte and she married John Serrano in Las Vegas, NV.  They made their home in North Platte and raised their family.  Mary worked at several hotels and as a caregiver for Joe and Pauline Dye.  She was an excellent cook, enjoyed crafts, and teaching her family how to do these things.  Mary had an amazing faith and spread that to her family and friends.  She loved feeding her squirrels and loved her cat Javi.

Mary is survived by her husband John of North Platte; sons, John Serrano of Evans, CO, Craig Serrano of North Platte, Paul Serrano of North Platte; grandson, Isaiah Serrano of Lincoln; siblings, Rosie Castellanos of North Platte, Margaret Ramos of North Platte, Sam Sanchez of North Platte, Rick Sanchez of Grand Island, Ofelia Leyva of Grand Island, Chee Ree Perez of Grand Island; numerous other family members and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Hank Sanchez, Albert Sanchez, Alex Sanchez; sisters, Esther Guerra, Jessica Polanco.
