Matthew Allen Roehrs, 45, of North Platte, passed away suddenly on December 12, 2024 at Great Plains Health.  He was born April 3, 1979 to Donald "Don" and Sherry "Sherry" (Mailand) Roehrs in Ogallala.

Matthew graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1998.  He attended and received a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.  Matthew worked for Todd Correll Construction and Simon Construction and later hired on with Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer.  Matthew married Melinda Bales in April of 2005 and to this union, a son Cayden was born. Matthew loved hunting, golfing, motorcycles, and his pets.  He will be remembered as a loving, caring, generous, and very genuine person who always had your best interest in mind.  He was always there for people when they needed him.

Survivors include son, Cayden (Fiancee' Caitlyn) Roehrs of North Platte; daughter, Camerin Burtle of North Platte; parents, Don and Sherry Roehrs of North Platte; brother, Brian (Ashley) Roehrs of North Platte; nephews, Noah and Elijah Roehrs of North Platte; numerous other family members and many friends.

Matthew was preceded in death by grandparents, Vernon and Naomi Mailand, Gilbert and Doris Roehrs; uncle, Kelvin Roehrs.

Memorials are suggested in his memory. A decision as to where will be made later. Online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com .Services will be held at 11:00 A.M.(C.T.), Friday, December 20, 2024 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 402 Baytree, North Platte, with Reverend Bob Deardoff officiating.  Visitation will be held noon-7:00, with family present 5:00-7:00, Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
