Maureen Joyce Eldred, age 77, of North Platte, passed away October 18, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born on July 7, 1948 in Sidney, Nebraska to the late Edgar and Joyce Anderson Bennett.

She enjoyed watching westerns, listening to music, playing games, making candy and spending time with her animals.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Survivors include three children, Trina (Barry) Richardson of Pomaria, SC, Gene Rundquist of North Platte, NE, Barry (DeAnna) Goen of Irmo, SC; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Marlene (Steve) Chavis of Batesburg/Leesville, SC; one nephew and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 33 years, Jerold James Eldred.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at The Rock Church with Ruben Valdez officiating. Inurnment will follow on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery. A book signing will be held Friday, October 24, 2025, from 9 to 5 p.m. at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home who has been entrusted with arrangements
