Michael Lee "Mike" Hiatt, 60, of North Platte, passed away August 16, 2022 as a result of a motor vehicle accident north of North Platte.  He was born on July 5, 1962 to Leonard and Opal Hiatt in North Platte.

Mike graduated from Hershey High School.  He worked with his father in the construction business and later traveled with a fiber optics company all over the country.  Mike hired on Union Pacific Railroad in 1989 and was currently and engineer.

Mike married Marsha Kelley on August 23, 1991 in North Platte.  He enjoyed stock car races, fishing and hunting.  He was devoted to his family and his easy-going attitude made him easy to be around.

Survivors include wife, Marsha of North Platte; father, Leonard Hiatt of North Platte; step-son, Scott Crooks of North Platte; grandson, Ceaghan Holder of Brule; in-laws, Clifford and Alberta Freeze of Brady; special friends, Clayton and Amanda Weems and children of Stapleton; numerous Hiatt, Kelley, and Freeze family members and many friends.

He was preceded in death by mother, Opal Hiatt; brother, Mark Hiatt; grandparents, Gilbert and Ida Hiatt.

Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Harvest Christian Fellowship with Pastor Jeremy Rinke officiating.  Burial will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held noon-7:00 P.M., Friday, August 19, 2022 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences and livestreaming of the service can be found at www.adamsswanson.com.
