Michael was born on June 3, 1971 in Omaha, Nebraska to Elsie Schreifer. He and his sister, Tamara joined Ronald and Marilyn Tophane on February 9, 1975. He attended Culbertson Public Schools and North Platte Public Schools. As a youth he enjoyed baseball, football, and music. He lived in Lincoln, Nebraska for a number of years.

Survivors include his daughter, Justeena Dobbins of Hermosa, SD; son, David Lorimer of North Platte; mother, Marilyn Tophane of North Platte; granddaughter, Chloe; and nephews, Charles and Brycen Tophane.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Ronald; sister, Tamara; and his birth mother, Elsie Schreifer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.

Those wishing to sign the register book may do so 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 with the family present to greet friends at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home who is assisting with arrangements.
