Michael Robert White, 67, of North Platte, passed away June 26, 2021 at his home. He was born November 10, 1953 in Omaha, NE., to Robert James White and Evelyn Lenore Wisely.   Michael grew up in Arizona and resided there until the early 1980's, then he moved to Grand Island, NE. He lived in Grand Island when the devasting tornados ripped through the city, he helped with city cleanup after the devastation. In 1983 he moved to North Platte, working for detox and as a custodian at St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Tomahawk Truck Stop. Michael married Shirley Lunkwitz in 1985 at the First Lutheran Church. To this union a son Robert was born in 1986. They moved to Pennsylvania in 2004 and worked as a floor tech for Wal-Mart until 2011. Then he moved back to North Platte in late 2011 to help take care of his mother-in-law.

Michael enjoyed fishing, loved to drink coffee, attend car shows and would sometimes enjoy tinkering on old cars.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley White; son, Robert (Elizabeth Junkin) White, North Platte; grandson, Octavyus Junkin, North Platte; Brandi Tomlinson, North Platte; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Evelyn and his grandmother Wisely.

Cremation was chosen. Services are pending. Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
