Myrtle Sue Zeigler, 62 of North Platte passed away March 25, 2014 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center. She was born January 13, 1952 in Emporia, Kansas to William Melvin and Sylvia May Lawson Allen. Myrtle grew up in North Platte. She was the middle daughter of nine girls so she learned to be a caregiver early in life.

She loved to make crafts, and spend time with people. She was known as "mom" to everyone, including her children's friends. Anything she could do for the grandkids she would do.

Survivors include a daughter, Renee (Scott) Goodall of Gothenburg; sons, Robert (Wendy) Zeigler and Joey Zeigler all of North Platte; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; best friend, Lillian Kohl of North Platte; and Dick and Mert's extended family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia; a son, David Allen; sister, Vickie Parker; and special friend, Richard "Dick" Phillips.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with the Chaplain Robin Storer officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Cozad.

Visitation will be noon until 9:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home.
