Paula Jeanne Patterson, 75 of North Platte, Nebraska passed away August 6, 2024 at Great Plains Health in North Platte. She was born December 29, 1948, to Benjamin and Myrtle (Remington) Adams in Portland, Oregon.
Paula graduated high school from Mary Crest in 1966, then graduating from nursing school in 1967. At 21 years old she was the youngest nursing home administrator in Oregon. She held that position for two years. On July 4, 1976 she was united in marriage to Gary Patterson in North Platte. To this union four sons were born; Eric, Curtis, John and Tom. She started the first Life Line Program in North Platte, worked for Home Health for many years and had the first hospice patient in North Platte. This family has been friends for over 30 years. She also taught Alzheimer's classes to nurses and caregivers. Her last five years of nursing she was the jail nurse for Lincoln & Keith counties. She had confidence in her ability and extreme pride in excellent care of her patients in her 44 years of nursing.
Paula will always be remembered as feisty, fun, stubborn, a tough patient (nurses make the worst patients.) and very memorable to everyone who knew her. Paula was an avid Husker football fan and proud supporter and stockholder in the Green Bay Packers. She owns a share of the Green Bay Packers.
She is survived by her husband, Gary, North Platte, Nebraska; sons, Eric Patterson, Phoenix, Arizona; Curtis (Sidne) Patterson, North Platte, Nebraska, John Patterson, North Platte, Nebraska, Tom (Lori) Fuller, Kearney, Nebraska; daughters, Kristi (Tina Amling) Boehm; grandsons, John Patterson, Jr., and Arden Patterson; 1 brother; 3 sisters; mother-in-law, Alice Patterson. Along with other family members and friends.
Paula is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Colleen.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11;00 A.M., Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Rinke officiating. Book signing will be from 9-3, Friday, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
