Peyton Nichole Rasmussen, age 22 of Huntersville, NC, formerly of North Platte, NE passed away along with her mother Johna Morvant and brother Parker Rasmussen in a helicopter accident on April 4, 2016 in Pigeon Falls, TN.
Peyton was born on October 5, 1993 in North Platte, NE to Scott Rasmussen and Johna (Jochum) Morvant. She graduated from North Platte High School in 2012 and was currently pursuing a medical assistant degree. Peyton had such a big heart and a caring nature. She had so many close friends in North Platte, NE, Hillsborough Beach, FL, and Huntersville, NC.
Peyton is survived by her loving father Scott Rasmussen; grandparents Butch (Georgia) Rasmussen, Lynne Rector (Lynn) Fredrick; uncles Randy (Missy) Rasmussen and Mike (Lynn) Rasmussen; aunt Jennifer (Jochum) Cotton; cousins Matt, Josh, Micah, Chase, Sawyer, Gracie Rasmussen, Jace Jochum, Rylie Cotton, and Mollie Jo Johns.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Charla Rasmussen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Peyton and Parker Rasmussen Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo which will be used in the spirit of Peyton and Parker to help others. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday April 16, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in North Platte, NE with Reverend Dr. Douglas Delp officiating. Inurnment will follow at North Platte Cemetery. Those wishing to do so may sign the register book from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday April 14th and 15th at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
