Randall Jay Mayer, 66, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away March 28, 2024 at his home in North Platte.  He was born February 2, 1958 to Clarence Dale and Beverly Ann (Sheets) Mayer in California.

He graduated from high school in El Camino, California in 1976.  Randall worked for Hussman Electric in California, traveled across the country, eventually settling in Nebraska.  He lived in Ogallala and moved to North Platte in 2015 where he worked as a handyman.  Randall was a very talented woodworker and could build anything.  He had a great love for fishing and was always accompanied by Cole.

Randall is survived by his sister, Pamela Ross-Hunziker, Sacramento, California; 2 nieces, Shantelle (Dan) Roth, Kristy (Hans) Roscher, Sacramento, California; 4 great nieces and nephews, Joseph Roth, Rhiannon Roth, Nathaniel Roscher, Mya Roscher, Sacramento, California; along with other family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation was chosen.  Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
