In Loving Memory of Richard Al Gaskill.
Richie was born on 9/10/1966 and died in his sleep, of a heart attack on Dec. 15, 2020 in North Platte, Nebraska. The many people that he touched will dearly miss him. His parents, Richard and Janice Gaskill, precede him in death. Cousins, an aunt & an uncle survive him.
Richie's most dearest "family" for many years has been his AA community in North Platte. His big heart had room for many. He was instrumental in the work of helping others as they struggled with addiction – he was a very active part of his AA group. The other members of Richie's "family" include the friends (and customers!) that he worked with in Benkelman and North Platte.
Richie will be remembered for his ability to make others laugh. Whether it was doing his swimming pool impression of a human sprinkler or working from his enormous repertoire of stories, jokes and impersonations – he was always the one that made our hearts lighter! Richie had the ability to light up the room.
Rest in peace my sweet little cousin. I will always be happy that Aunt Janice let you be "my baby" during the summers we spent growing up with our grandparents in O'Neill.
