Richard H. Noltensmeier, age 83, of North Platte, died December 22, 2018 at Centennial Park Retirement Center.  He was born on June 3, 1935 in Arapahoe, NE to Simon and Minna Ziems .  After high school he entered the US Air Force, serving from 1955-58.  He married Dyanne Woodward on June 24, 1967.  This brought Dyanne's four children into a new family, and to this union, 3 more children, Rhonda, Richard Jr., and Dawn were born.

Survivors include his children, Anna Songer of South Dakota, Kenneth (Delynne) Noltensmeier of Texas, LaDonna (Walter) White of Kentucky, Rhonda Graham of Ohio, Richard Noltensmeier Jr. of North Platte, and Dawn Noltensmeier of Kansas; siblings, Clarence Noltensmeier, Wayne Noltensmeier, Alice Dietz, Viola Cartee, and Lorene Russell; 18 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  A memorial has been established in his name and online condolences can be made at www.adamsswanson.com .

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday December 31, 2018 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Daniel Ramsey officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 – 6:00.  Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
