Ricky Charles Wehrle, 70, of North Platte passed away February 23, 2025 at Great Plains Health.  He was born July 3, 1954 to Wesley and Harriet (Gall) Wehrle in Norfolk, NE.

Ricky lived in Madison, NE most of his life.  He moved to the state of Washington where he lived for many years. He moved to North Platte in 1993.  Ricky married Judith Bigelow on May 13, 1995 in North Platte.

Ricky was always the "jokester", every moment of his life.  He loved to go fishing and be outdoors, give his grandchildren and great grandchildren rides on his wheel chair, and bald eagle watching at Lake Ogallala.  Ricky was a Husker and Chiefs fan, loved classic cars, and the band KISS.  He enjoyed his family and they were the center of his life.

Survivors include his mother, Harriet Wehrle of Norfolk; wife, Judy of North Platte; children, Crystalbelle Barnard of Denver, Matthew Tech of North Platte, Sheelagh (Jordan) Lucas of North Platte, Chastity Orr of North Platte; grandchildren, Alexzandria (fiancé Chandler Witt) Barnard, Jayde Orr, Lisselle Lucas, Emmeline Lucas, Genevieve Lucas, Aleksander Lucas, Landyen Grape-Tech, Sully Orr, Abel Orr; great grandchild, Theodore Orr; siblings, David (Judy) Wehrle of Norfolk, Teresa (Rick) Schommer of Madison, Myrna (Sean) McKinzie of North Platte; numerous other family members and many friends.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Wesley; daughter-in-law, Nickela; grandchildren, Damien and Natalie.

Cremation was chosen and services will be held at a later date.  Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
