Robert E. "Bob" Holcomb, 88, of North Platte passed away March 6, 2019 at Centennial Park Retirement Village. Bob was born on May 17, 1930 in Chambers, Nebraska to David and Edith (Lundstrom) Holcomb.

Bob entered the United States Army and served in Korea. He married Marilyn Heinrich on September 27, 1953 and worked for the State Patrol. Bob sold heavy equipment in Nebraska and Wyoming for many years until his retirement. He and Marilyn lived in Victoria, Texas before moving back to North Platte six years ago.

Bob loved to hunt and enjoyed the outdoors. He had a fondness for horses and dogs. He will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn of North Platte; children, Tanya (Robert) Kendall of Highlands Ranch, CO and Kristy (Steve) Schledewitz of Blanco, TX; grandchildren, Amy (Victor) Castillo of Kyle, TX, Nicole (Mike) Jernigan of New Braunfels, TX, and Raime Kendall of Denver, CO; greatgrandchildren, Holden, Brooks, Jeslyn, Corbin, and Colton; sister, Norma DeMuth of Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Maxine "Micki" Dieke, and Darrell Holcomb.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Pastor Brent Montgomery officiating. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
