Robert Earl "Bob" Howard, 83, of North Platte passed away October 20, 2018 at Great Plains Health.

Bob was born on December 27, 1935 in Waycross, GA to Hershel B. and Lizzie (Walker) Howard. Bob grew up in Georgia, entering the United States Air Force serving in Korea from 1955-1960. He married Sandra Richards in 1987 in Santa Cruz, CA. The couple lived in California where Bob was a tile setter. They also lived in Georgia, Las Vegas, and a long time in California, moving to North Platte in their retirement years in 1993.  Bob enjoyed fishing and camping, was a member of the Lake Maloney Ski Club, Eagles, and the Moose. He was a very charitable person, and a wonderful grandpa to his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra of North Platte; step-children, Julie (Glenn) Segers of Auburn, CA, Heidi Graham of Irvington, AL, Sandi Whyte of Lincoln, Mitzi Spencer of Redlands, CA, and Doug (Debbie) Purcell of St. Charles, MO; 16 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; seven brothers; and a great-grandson, Tyler Atkin.

Memorials are suggested to the American Breast Cancer Society and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com . A memorial dinner will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Moose Lodge. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
