Robert Eugene Roeder Sr., age 86 of North Platte, passed away Tuesday August 26, 2014.
Bob was born on March 28, 1928 in Lincoln, NE to George C. and Stella (Anderson) Roeder. He grew up in Lincoln and graduated from high school there. After high school he joined the US Marine Corp from 1946 to 1947. After being discharged, he attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln earning his BS in 1952. He then attended UNL School of Law and graduated in 1956. He married Kathryn Ann Duryea on September 26, 1953 in Lincoln and the family made their home in North Platte where he practiced law from 1956 through 2009. Over the years he also served as County Attorney in both McPherson and Logan Counties.
Bob is survived by his children Sheri K. Ramirez of Lincoln, NE, Greta S. Mueller of Ashland, NE and Robert E. Roeder, Jr. of Paris, France; 5 grandchildren, Trinity "Buck", Taylor and Ivy Mueller, Ashley Reeves and Amber McCoy; great grandchildren Macie, Delanie and Gunner Reeves and Joseph McCoy; sister Betty Henson of Kansas City, MO; as well as many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Kathryn in 2003.
Memorials are suggested in his name and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com. Cremation was chosen and there will be a private family service at a later date. Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
