February 20, 1944 – January 30, 2023
Robert William "Bob" Kohler, 78 of North Platte passed away January 30, 2023 at his home.
Bob was born February 20, 1944 in Ogallala to William and Katherine (Strong) Kohler.
He worked at a gas station in North Platte during his high school years, graduating from Hershey High School in 1962. After graduation he worked at Sears for many years, he also delivered tires for Goodyear, and worked for CIT where he was a loan manager. Bob also served in the Army Reserves.
On May 27, 1966 he married Joyce Grasz in North Platte. He opened Kohler Trailer Sales in 1979 and has continued to operate it. He enjoyed working his cattle, especially Red Angus. Bob belonged to the First Presbyterian Church, enjoyed playing cards and playing with his great-grandsons.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce of North Platte; children, Brad (Michelle Messenger) Kohler and Doug Kohler all of North Platte; grandson, Dusty (Samantha Meissner) Kohler of North Platte; great-grandchildren, Ryker and Rayken; siblings, Dennis (Barb) Kohler of North Platte, Danny (Teri) Kohler of Georgia, Jerry Kohler of Kearney, and Mary Alice (Rodney) Nichol of Minnesota; numerous other family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven; brothers, Richard and Kenneth.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the First Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the North Platte Cemetery. Visitation will be noon- 5:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday with the family receiving friends Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the First Presbyterian Church. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is entrusted with his arrangements.
