Rochelle Irene Torres, age 63, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 24, 1962 in Sterling, Colorado, to Jay Clemmons and Patricia McBride. Rochelle attended Ogallala High School.
In 1982, she married Joe Paul Torres. The two enjoyed traveling across the United States while he worked as a lineman. Eventually, they settled down and started their family, raising four amazing children. Rochelle was a compassionate and devoted woman who worked as a CAN for many years, always caring for other with kindness and grace.
She loved her Dunkin' Donuts coffee, shopping at thrift stores, and most of all, spending time and making memories with her grandchildren. Rochelle was the heart of her family---a shining light whose presence will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
She is survived by her children; Angel Torres, Jennifer Torres, Joseph Torres and his wife Stevie, Paula Torres, and Alisha Chaney. Her legacy lives on through her many grandchildren; Ralysia Whisenand and her husband Dustin, Risselina Benitez, Amillio Torres, DeAndre Thomas, Shellyna Nesslein, Linda Nesslein, LaChelle Benitez, Amado Benitez, Shaylynn Trejo, Breigha Torres, Shayna Torres, Joseph Torres Jr., Rhiannon Torres, Issiah Torres, Renley Torres, and Chloe Strand. Rochelle was also blessed with one great-granddaughter, Lillian.
Rochelle is preceded in death by her parents, Patricia McBride and Jay Clemmons; and Micheal Tift.
Rochelle had the privilege of helping raise several of her grandchildren, including Ralysia Whisenand, Shayna Torres, Risselina Beitez, Breigha Torres, LaChelle Benitez, Amado Benitez, and Shaylynn Trejo. Rochelle lived her life for her children, her grandchildren, and her great-granddaughter. Her unwavering love and strength will be remembered always.
Cremation was chosen and private family services will be held. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
