Ronald (Ron) Lee Dobbins was born October 3rd 1945 to Ray and Margaret (Popham) Dobbins in North Platte, NE. God called him Home July 31, 2025.   He attended Tryon Grade School and graduated from McPherson County High School in 1963.

Ron married Lorna (Miller) Dobbins on September 4th 1966. To this union two daughters were born Cindy and Trudy. Ron accepted the Lord as his Savior in his late teens. He attended Hall Church where he served on the board and taught Sunday School Adult Class for many years.  He served on the Upper Loup NRD Board, Camp Bethel Board and Tryon Grade School Board. He served in National Guard for several years. Ron loved to be outside on the ranch, throughout his life he enjoyed learning new ways to improve the way he raised his cows through regenerative ranching. His favorite time was watching his calves born in the Spring. He loved to tell a good clean joke and when he was happy, he sang or whistled to show his joy.

Ron is survived by his wife, Lorna; daughters, Cindy (Brad) Kroll Bassett, NE, and Trudy Dobbins (Grant Szalay) Issaquah, WA; four grandsons, Austin (Becca) Kroll, Andrew Kroll, Aaron ( Erica ) Kroll, Aubrey ( Amber) Kroll; five great grandchildren, Braxton, Britton, Baker, Kyla, Mya; sister, Rita Correll of  Tryon; brother and sister in law, Dennis (Lynelle) Miller of Kearney, Janet Ireland of Cottonwood Falls KS, Dwight(Nancy) Miller of Tomball, TX; many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Ringgold Free Church.  Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery.  Visitation will be held noon-7:00 P.M., Monday, August 4, 2025 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
