Sammy Bell, 73, of North Platte, passed away on September 30, 2022, at Azria Health in Sutherland.  He was born on July 5, 1949 in Conway, SC to Carson and Tammy Bell.

While attending Conway High School, Sammy worked in the tobacco fields in the summer, harvesting.  He then began working at a furniture factory for 10 years.  In 1981, Sammy moved to Nebraska.  He helped construct the Gerald Gentleman Power Plant in Sutherland.  After this project was complete, he worked in construction, hauling asphalt for 12 years.  Before retiring in 2010, Sammy worked for a sand and gravel company.  He had a love for cars, his favorite being a red 1967 Chevy truck.

Sammy is preceded in death by his parents, Carson and Tammy Bell.
