Sandra Lee "Sandy" Kramer, 73, of Lewellen, passed away September 28, 2022 at Ogallala Community Hospital. She was born on June 2, 1949 to Louis and Helen (Wells) Prinz Jr. in Haddonfield, NJ.
Sandy went to school in Camden, NJ and then moved to Stapleton as a teenager. She married Walter Kramer and to this union two children were born, Helen and Dale. Sandy stayed home to spend time with her kids and helped run the trucking business with Walter. After Walter's passing, Sandy met Jerry Furley in 1998. They spent the last 24 years together, living between Lemoyne and Lewellen.
Sandy loved to sew, crochet, and do anything crafty. She developed a love for auctions and enjoyed working outside and taking care of her cats. Sandy was bubbly and happy-go-lucky and was always willing to help anyone. She had several "adopted" kids.
Survivors include significant other, Jerry Furley; children, Helen (Joey) Kramer, Anita (Jason) Teti, Kelly Kastrow, Julie Furley, James (Karen ) Furley, Jerri (Jarrod) Chapman, Heather Davis, Jodi (Bobby) Marini, Jolyn Furley, Jackie (Brian) Mann, Jason (Stephanie) Furley; grandchildren, Tim, Trevor, Cassandra, Tyanne, Cole, Brooks, Kyle, Kelly; numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Louis (Jan) Prinz, Howard (Sharon) Prinz; sisters, Sherry (Jack) Smith, Linda (Neil) Nickerson; adopted children, Tay and Piper Anderson; great friend, Jerome Kramer; daughter-in-law, Carol Kramer.
Sandy was preceded in death by son, Dale; husband, Walter; brother, George Lapp; sisters Ginny Dorr, Susan Lapp, Denise Prinz.
Memorials are suggested to North Platte Animal Shelter or Callahan Cancer Center. Online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com .
Visitation will be held 10:00-3:00, Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 1:00-6:00, Monday, October 3, 2022 at Lincoln Highway RV Park. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
