Scott Douglas Seamann, born on July 8, 1971, in Broken Bow, Nebraska, passed away on April 5, 2026, in North Platte, Nebraska.
Scott was a dedicated and hardworking contractor whose passion for construction was matched only by his love of the outdoors. After graduating from Broken Bow High School in 1989, Scott pursued his education in construction at Mid Plains Community College. His career began with several years at Paulson Development, where he honed his skills and deepened his commitment to excellence. Following this experience, Scott fulfilled his entrepreneurial dreams by founding his own construction business, Scotty's Building and Remodel, where he became well known for his professionalism and dedication to every project. Scott’s life was enriched by his marriage to Jodi Cooper on August 2, 1996, in North Platte. Together, they shared a loving family and a life filled with cherished moments. Scott was a devoted family man who deeply loved spending time outdoors—whether hunting, fishing, or running his beloved Labrador retrievers.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Jodi Seamann of Hershey; his children, Madison (Caleb) Brown, Dawson Seamann, and Rylee Seamann; his parents, Jeffrey and Eileen Gorley of North Platte; his brother, Chad (Karen) Seamann of Janesville, Wisconsin; and his sister, Becky (Brett) Belgum of North Lake, Texas. Scott’s life was further touched by numerous other family members and a wide circle of friends who valued his friendship and support.
Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Esther Duysen; his cousin, Robert Gregory; and his uncle, Bill Gregory.
A memorial has been established in his name and online condolences, and live stream will be at www.adamsswanson.com.
Visitation will be held on April 9, 2026, from 12:00 noon until 7:00 in the evening, with family receiving friends from 5-7. A memorial service will follow on April 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., held at the North Platte Cowboy Church, 1911 N Buffalo Bill Ave, North Platte, Nebraska 69101, with Pastor John Sexson officiating.
