Obituary

Scott Eugene Tabke, 65, of North Platte, passed away July 8, 2021 at his home. He was born on June 10, 1956 in North Platte to Durward and Dorothy (Swedberg) Tabke.

Scott graduated from Maxwell High School with the class of 1974 and then graduated from Mid Plains Community College in the HVAC Program.

On May 29, 1977, Scott married the love of his life, Vicki Rene Woltemath. The couple made their home in North Platte and to this union two daughters were born. Scott hired on at UPFE in 1977 as a carman and then moved to Pocatello, ID in 1993 when he became a manager. In 2005 they moved back to North Platte where he continued to work for UPFE, becoming highly respected by the employees he managed. In 2010 they moved to Florida to enjoy the sunshine and family, until they moved back to North Platte again in December 2015.

Scott was an excellent grandfather and he enjoyed snow skiing, riding his Harley, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed and appreciated simple things in life like yard work, being honest and working hard to provide for his family. Scott also loved his job at UPFE and all his co-workers there.

Survivors include his wife Vicki of North Platte; children, April (Brian) Dilley of Charlotte, NC, Molly (Josh) Harm of North Platte; six grandchildren, Brayden Dilley, Zoey Dilley, Hennley Harm, Monroe Harm, Evvie Harm, Reese Harm; brother, Stacy Tabke of North Platte, several other family members and many friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents Durward and Dorothy.

Scott loved his family and his grandkids more than anything. Any memorial in his memory can be donated to the North Platte Community Build Playground at webuildnp.org .

Services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Bob Deardoff officiating. Visitation will be held at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from noon-6 p.m. with family receiving friends from 4-6 p.m. Online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com .
