Shirley Irene (Le Droit) Ogborn ,76 of North Platte passed away October 16, 2018.

Shirley was born in Lexington, Nebraska on March 6, 1942 to Dewey and Elizabeth (Speigel) LeDroit.

She married Dennis Ogborn March 7, 1959.

She enjoyed camping and fishing with family as well as working puzzles.   Her love of outdoor yard figurines kept her busy painting and creating beautiful yard art. She had a passion for the needle with countless hours of pillow, blanket, and doll making. She had a love for gardening and found pure joy in watching her decorative gourds grow.   Shirley also spent countless hours traveling around to different bingo halls with her beloved husband, Dennis.

Throughout the years, Shirley worked a variety of jobs including house painting, furniture restoration and upholstery, plastic sign making and construction work.

She is survived by Dennis, her husband of 59 years; and their five children, Garry Ogborn of North Platte, Nebraska, Jerry (Trudy) Ogborn of Firestone, Colorado, Richard (Denise) Ogborn of North Platte, Nebraska, Teresa Ogborn of Tampa, Florida, and Donald (Jennifer) Ogborn of Elizabeth, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, George (Deanna) LeDroit of Adrian, Michigan; and a sister, Louise (Chester) Tridle of North Platte, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and a sister.

Services for the celebration of her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 20, 2018 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home.

Final resting place will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens in North Platte, Nebraska. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday October 19, 2018 with the family receiving friends 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
