Shirley A. Snare, 86, of Cheyenne, WY, formerly of North Platte, passed away on March 20, 2023.  She was born to Edward and Esta (Shriver) Steele on August 31, 1936, in Fairview, WV.

After Shirley graduated from high school in Shepherd, MI, she moved to Colorado where she attended Northern Colorado in Greeley, receiving her Bachelor's in teaching.  She taught as a math and science teacher for several years.

On June 13, 1964, Shirley was united in marriage to Gary Lee Snare.  The couple welcomed two children into the world, Jon and Chuck.  Shirley adored her church family and loved spending time with her family and many friends.

Those left to remember Shirley include her sons, Jon (Jane) Snare and Chuck (Ronda) Snare; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; many other family members and several friends.

Preceding her in death is her parents; husband Gary Snare; and brothers, John and Ben Steele.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 10 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Evans officiating.  Burial will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 12 P.M. to 7 P.M. with family receiving friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home.
