Sonja Sue Campany, 80 of North Platte passed away January 19, 2021 at Linden Court.

Sonja was born July 9, 1940 in Osborne, Kansas to Leslie and Sylvia Colwell. She grew up in Osborne, graduating High School there.

On December 30, 1962 she married Dennis Campany in Osborne. To this union two sons were born, Mark and Todd.

Sonja worked at home raising her family, settling in North Platte where Dennis worked for the Union Pacific Railroad.

She enjoyed exercise classes and was a member of weight watchers.

Survivors include her sons, Mark Campany of Overton and Todd (Janet Campany of Lexington; 7 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Sonja was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis; and a sister, Arleta Byrd.

Memorials are suggested to the North Platte Weight Watchers.

Graveside Services will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell. Services will be livestreamed on the Adams & Swanson Facebook page. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
