Steven Gordon Haman, 69, of North Platte, passed away January 6, 2021 at Great Plains Health. He was born February 10, 1951 to Gordon and Jean (Jackson) Osterlink in Omaha, Nebraska.
Steve graduated from Omaha North in 1969. He went to Iowa State and finished at UNO with several degrees. He started working as a special agent for Union Pacific Railroad and transitioned into management. He was a hard worker and tried to instill this in his children.
Steve married Kathleen Perlinger on July 11 th , 1981 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The couple resided in North Platte. He loved to golf with his friends Larry, Gary, and Dirk. He loved to hunt, and joke telling was a favorite past time. He enjoyed his Thursday mornings having coffee with his friends at the airport.
Steve was a faith filled man who loved his God and tried to share his faith with many others. He was very loved by his family and will be remembered as a selfless husband, father, and Papa.
Survivors include this wife Kathy of North Platte; four children, Tyler (Stacy) Haman of North Platte, Michael (Kaylee) Haman of Lincoln, Danielle Haman of Omaha, Kirsten Haman of Omaha; grandchildren, Laney, Landon, Charly, Cale, Lennon and Trey Haman; step mother, Kay Haman of Omaha; siblings, Larry Haman of Omaha, Lee (Laurie) Haman of Omaha, Merri (Steve) Rader of Omaha; in-laws Bob and Maxine Perlinger of Paxton; numerous other family members and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; niece, Missi Haman.
Memorials are suggested to Salvation Army and Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com .
Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM, Monday, January 11, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Paxton Cemetary. Those wishing to sign the book may do so noon-4:00 P.M., Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements. The service will be livestreamed on the Adams & Swanson Home Facebook page for those unable to attend.
