Susie Flock, age 67, of North Platte, passed away on May, 25, 2021 in Lexington, NE.   She was born August 17, 1953, at St. Mary's Hospital in North Platte to A. Jean (Perry) and Goethe I. Flock, her given name was Susan Rae Flock, she preferred Susie as her name.

Susie graduated from North Platte High in 1971. She attended North Platte Jr. College, University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduate classes at Kearney State College.   Her major was English language. A life alumni member of UNL and a member of Kappa Phi, a Christian Women's organization. Susie's working years were aiding and substitute teaching in North Platte Schools and aiding at Miller School south-west of North Platte. She also provided private tutoring. Due to health reasons, Susie and her parents enjoyed spending winters in Arizona. Many friends were made at Valle Del Oro RV Resort in Mesa, AZ. Susie helped keep Creative Writing going and took lessons in Spectral Art. Some of her family now have charcoal and pastel pictures that Susie made.

Susie is preceded in death by her parents, Goethe and Jean Flock; a stillborn sister, Nancy Jo; Grandparents Meta (Link) and Ira Flock, and Aemilia (Brahler) and John Perry; aunts and uncles, Cheslie and Jessie Flock, Lillie and Lorence Flock, Leo and Veda Greenwood, Bob Perry, Sylvia and Jack Perry; cousins James Greenwood, Rosemary and Darrell Pueppeka, Stephen Pueppeka and Bill Perry.

Survivors include, Bob and Alma Flock, Nancy Flock, Larry Pueppeka and Cheri Pueppeka, Aunt Sarah Perry, Liz (Perry) and Steve Pringle, Jim and Sher (Swanda) Perry, Cheryl (Perry) Acree, Linda (Perry) and Jim Clark and their children and grandchildren.

Susie wrote her own obituary. At Susie's request a private burial will be held, Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at North Platte Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Sipes of First Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. As requested, no viewing or visitation is planned.
