Tammy Ann
Scott
Nov 27, 1968 — Oct 9, 2026
Tammy Ann Scott was born on November 27, 1968, but remained forever 29 at heart. She passed away on October 9, 2026, after a long medical journey. Tammy returned home to spend her final days surrounded by love and passed with her loved ones by her side.
Tammy met her longtime significant other, Larry Smith, in 1988, and they shared many years of life and family together. She was a mother to Larry Jr. and Harley Smith and a grandmother to Chauncey and Harley Payne, and Luka and Daisy Smith.
Taking care of others was a part of who Tammy was. She spent years babysitting her nieces and nephews as they grew up, then continued caring for her grandchildren for as long as she was able. Her home was filled with photographs of her family, reflecting how much the people in those pictures meant to her. Through her everyday care and the time they spent together, she gave them memories they will always treasure.
Every Christmas, Tammy made homemade cherry mash, peanut clusters, chocolate-covered pretzels, cookies, and butterscotch fudge to share with everyone. These treats became a special family tradition and another way she showed her love. She also loved listening to Toby Keith, and his music held a special place in her life.
She is survived by her significant other, Larry Smith; her children, Larry Jr. and Harley Smith; her grandchildren, Chauncey and Harley Payne, and Luka and Daisy Smith; her sisters, Cheryl Scott, Judy Scott, and Dawn (Tim) Tegeler; her nieces, Brandy (Ricky Pilakowski) McConnell, Miranda (Shawn) Marquez, and Sunny (Trey Brouillette) Hornelas; her aunts, cousins, and many great-nieces and great-nephews; and her best friends, Tara Collins, Jackie Donohue, and Christy Powell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David Sr. and Christine Scott; her grandparents; numerous aunts and uncles; her brother, David Scott, and his wife, Deb Scott; her nephew, Anthony Hornelas; and her niece, Ashley Hornelas (Navarrete).
Tammy will be remembered in the family photographs she treasured, the Christmas traditions she shared, and the lives of the children she helped raise. Her love will remain a part of her family’s everyday lives.
A celebration of Tammy’s life will be held at a later date.
