Thelma Ehlers, 93, of North Platte, passed away on May 20, 2025, at The Maples at Centennial.  She was born May 12, 1932, to Emilio and Maria Mora in New Salem, Kansas.

Thelma moved to Nebraska as an infant and attended Nichols Public School. She worked with her family on the farm. In addition, Thelma worked at McPhersons making condensers for the military. Thelma also worked as a waitress at Cedar Bowl Cafe and as a clerk at Gibson's, Safeway,
and the Kwik Stop. Thelma was united in marriage to LaVern F. Ehlers on November 1, 1975, in North Platte. Thelma was a fabulous baker, always baking wonderful sweets for her family.  Most importantly, she was a devout member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her sister, Margaret Mora, of North Platte, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Emilio and Maria Mora; her husband, LaVern Ehlers; her infant sister, Margarita Mora; her sister Mary James; her brothers Simon Mora, Joe Mora, Frank Mora, Dean Mora, Lawrence Mora, Martin Mora, and Angel Mora.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with The Reverend Jonathan Sorensen as Celebrant. Burial will follow at North Platte Cemetery. Thelma's Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the
Adams & Swanson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at noon-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home, which oversees the arrangements.
