Thomas R. Collins, 74, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2022 in North Platte.  On February 3, 1947 he was born to William and Genevieve Collins in Jackson, Ohio.

As I am writing this, I realize I don't know much about Tom before he met my mother, Dana.  In February 1981 he married Dana Daly and instantly gained a family.  He raised my little sister Rhonda and she turned out pretty ok.  He could be a little gruff sometimes. But his grandkids knew better, they had him wrapped around their fingers.  He was a hard worker.  He worked in the oilfields, construction and was a very good carpenter.  After Dana passed away, he took a different path and was estranged from his family, but we kept tabs on him and knew he was okay.

Tom is survived children, Rhonda (Travis), LaRoy (Anne), Myra (Rick); grandkids, Daniel, Lynn, Ally, Tyler, Kallie, Makayla, Jesi, and Cody; great-grandkids, Daniel, Koylin, Huxtyn, Chloie and Natalie; siblings who loved him very much, James, Willard, Carol, Linda and Carl (Bud); too many nieces and nephews to count; all the folks at Liberty House.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dana; parents, William and Genevieve; siblings, Toni, Velma, Edward and Robert; two half-brothers, Glen Miller and Art Collins; half-sister, Delta.

Cremation was chosen.  No services are planned at this time.  Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
