Tia Faith Baird, a devoted caretaker and compassionate individual, passed away on May 14, 2026, in Sutherland, Nebraska. Born on January 19, 1983, Tia dedicated much of her life to serving others, embodying kindness and unwavering commitment throughout her career and personal life.

A proud graduate of Sidney High School, Class of 2001, in Sidney, Nebraska, Tia pursued higher education at Belleview University in Belleview, Nebraska, where she studied Social Services. Her genuine caring nature was reflected in her professional journey, having worked for many years at the Sutherland Care Center and North Platte Care Center. Tia was deeply loved by her patients and respected by her colleagues for her hard work and heartfelt dedication to caregiving.

Tia’s warmth and sincerity left an imprint on all who knew her. She was, at her core, a true caretaker, always offering solace and support with compassion and empathy. Her spirit of generosity extended beyond her career into the fabric of her family and friendships.

She is survived by her beloved son, Quentin, of Sutherland, Nebraska, who was a central source of joy and pride in her life. Tia is also survived by her devoted parents, Burl and Ruth Baird of Lewellen, Nebraska; sisters Bethany McCall of Wausau, Wisconsin, Emily (Brandon) Connell of Texas, and Amber McCutcheon of California; as well as brothers Hayden (Andrea) McCall of Rapid City, South Dakota, Darrell (Tara) Baird of North Platte, Nebraska, Joshua (Renea) Baird of North Platte, Nebraska, Echo (Jason) Torres of Stapleton, Nebraska, and Zachary (Kristi) Baird of Lincoln, Nebraska. She also leaves behind her cherished grandmother, Janice Baird of Lewellen, Nebraska, aunt, Patricia "Fuzz" Williams of Oregon, aunt and uncle, Pat and Mike Reynolds. Her extended family, co-workers, care home residents, and numerous friends mourn her loss and celebrate the profound impact she had on their lives.

Tia was preceded in death by her mother, Carol McCall; sister, Lola McCutcheon; grandmother, Ruth Stout. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the legacy of care and kindness she so beautifully upheld.

Tia Faith Baird's life was a testament to strength, compassion, and dedication. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her heartfelt devotion to those she cared for and loved. Her spirit endures in the lives she touched and in the love of her family and friends.
