IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tim A.
Timmy Dulin
April 18, 1966 – November 23, 2025
Timmy Allen Dulin, age 59, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025.
He was born April 18, 1966, to Jimmy and Gwen (Newbill) Dulin in Springfield, Missouri.
After moving to North Platte in 1976, Timmy attended Hershey High School. After graduating, he joined the Navy in 1984 and served his country dutifully for 6 years during the Gulf War. His time in the Navy allowed him to travel the world, and he returned home with many stories of his travels. He explored Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, Guam, Panama, Spain, and Saudi Arabia, just to name a few. After returning home, Timmy purchased his beloved '89 Mustang and began traveling all over the country, moving from South Carolina to Washington D.C. to Milwaukee, WI, to Chicago, IL, and finally back to North Platte in 1991 where he hired on to the Union Pacific Railroad.
Timmy was always a scientist at heart, with an inquisitive mind and a fascination with science-fiction like Star Wars and Star Trek. He predicted both Facebook and electric cars and designed the Electrician Union's website. He was also driven and a little stubborn, giving up driving for 16 years and instead riding a bike to work due to a perceived slight with his car taxes. His coworkers at the railroad said every winter, "If Timmy can make it on his bike, you can make it in," whenever it snowed. This combination of stubbornness and curiosity did occasionally get him into trouble, as in the time where he was runover by a train and another time when he was almost blown-up! He reacted to each potentially dangerous encounter with a ho-hum attitude, stating it wasn't that big of a deal. He was also an enjoyer of art, taking an active interest in photography and digital media.
Timmy went into every new hobby and venture with full commitment. He never half-assed anything, spending hours or even days researching the best tools for any job, using them once, and then gifting them to someone else. He even plumbed his whole house and almost roofed it himself. He was a generous and kind man, but most of all, he was a family man. Timmy was always so proud of his nieces and nephews and always supported them in any way he could. He was always down for rough-housing when they were young and giving sage advice as they grew into wonderful young men. He also loved dogs and tolerated cats for his family's sake.
Those left to cherish Timmy's memory are his sisters Sammy Dulin and Cora (Grady) Frederick; brothers Scott (Angela) Dulin, Casey (Suzie Needham) Kyle, Gregory Dulin, Benjamin Dulin, and Joseph Dulin; mother and stepfather Gwen and David Kyle; father Jimmy (Margie) Dulin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Mary and Leonard Newbill of Lakeview, AR, and Robert and Mary Kyle of Rolla, MO.
