Obituary
Wessley "Wes" Dean Lyons, age 55 of Stapleton, NE passed away Wednesday June 6, 2018 at Great Plains Health.
Wes was born March 2, 1963 in Alliance, NE to James and Sue (Skinner) Lyons. He grew up in Allen, NE and married Penny Ballard in June of 1985. T their union children Tifany, James "JD" and Anthony "AJ" were born. He worked for numerous feed lots and rodeoed for many years, competing in bareback and bull riding events. He won 2 year end championships on the Wild Events Tour. Wes will be remembered as a good cowboy and a good friend.
Wes is survived by his children Tifany (Matthew) Resser of Sheridan, WY, James "JD" Lyons of Melbeta, NE and Anthony "AJ" Lyons of Arizona; 5 grandchildren; sister Rhonda Lyons of Hay Springs, NE; and special friends Robbin and Monte Bullington of Ord, NE, Billy Klein and Carol Clark both of Stapleton, NE, and Greg McGreer of Chappell, NE.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation was chosen and memorial services will be held at a later date. Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
