Wilford Friend, age 77 formerly of Missouri, passed away Thursday February 16, 2017 at Centennial Park Retirement Home.
Wilford was born on May 25, 1939 in Reed Springs, MO to Raymond and Amy (Poor) Friend. He grew up in Missouri and Sacramento, CA. He married Sharon Horton in Colorado and to this union three children were born, Angie, Jimmy and Troy. He started driving a truck when he was 15 years old and continued working over the road until his retirement in 2001. He liked fishing and enjoyed his alone time.
Wilford is survived by his children Angie (Delmar) Kesterson of Maxwell, Jimmy (Missy) Friend of Ogallala and Troy (Angee) Friend of North Platte; grandchildren Amanda, Charley, Cindy, Michael, Jake, Jorden and Morgen; great grandson Clinton; siblings Corleen and Dean; and sisters-in-law Dorothy, Fran and Linda; as well as other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and several brothers and sisters.
Memorials are suggested in his name and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com. Cremation was chosen and memorial services will be held at a later date. Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
